Porcellio Scaber "Ghost"

The Porcellio scaber "Ghost" is available in hues ranging from purple (seen here) to yellowish white.They originate from Europe. The bodies of these isopods are calcified and rigid.The Iso-licious Isopod Food, which includes our new wet mixes, is fed to our isopods 1-2 times a week, along with potatoes, squash, carrots, our leaf powder, and a cuttlebone. These isopods thrive in warm weather and the odd mist, but they struggle in damp conditions. With one side of the enclosure having moist New Zealand sphagnum moss, the middle being generally dry and covered in leaf litter and bark, and the opposite side being bone dry and only covered in leaf litter, we provide space for a significant moisture gradient.  These semi-arid species need ventilation to maintain good health.

If your Isopods, Springtails, Roaches, or other invertebrates are traveling to a location that is currently experiencing temperatures above 85 degrees or below 50 degrees, we will be sending them to your nearest shipping hub. This includes sorting at the facility location. 

Please include your email and phone number with your order, so that we may further provide tracking tools for your package and list with our shipper. 

Once the package leaves our facility and is in the hands of the shipping company, we have no control over the package until it is delivered.

If there were any issues with your shipment such as a Dead On Arrival, please contact us with proof of unboxing and photo of "dead on arrival" and we will gladly work with you to achieve a positive resolution.
