Porcellio Scaber "Ghost" The Porcellio scaber "Ghost" is available in hues ranging from purple (seen here) to yellowish white.They originate from Europe. The bodies of these isopods are calcified and rigid.The Iso-licious Isopod Food, which includes our new wet mixes, is fed to our isopods 1-2 times a week, along with potatoes, squash, carrots, our leaf powder, and a cuttlebone. These isopods thrive in warm weather and the odd mist, but they struggle in damp conditions. With one side of the enclosure having moist New Zealand sphagnum moss, the middle being generally dry and covered in leaf litter and bark, and the opposite side being bone dry and only covered in leaf litter, we provide space for a significant moisture gradient.  These semi-arid species need ventilation to maintain good health.
