Beautiful large red Armadillo.
They do better in a larger setup with plenty of space.
Shy species that remains curled long after sensing danger.
When groups are disturbed, they are known to produce a hissing sound.
Officinalis are often known as "the hissing isopod" due to rubbing their legs in a circular motion on the inside of their shells while curled up, which produces a rattling sound.
